When we started The Trump Tracker, we wrote we’d be unbiased in our coverage. This week’s Tracker image art was inspired by the debt ceiling spending bill fiasco which finally passed, albeit no one is entirely happy with what it contains. But it was a victory for Trump, Musk and Ramaswamy; below, we explain why.
The Debt Ceiling Bill
- This week, the House Republicans were back at it, like they are almost every year. Instead of availing of the historic opportunity to do well by the citizens of this country, they bickered, backstabbed and fought among themselves over the spending bill to prevent a government shutdown.
- Trump, who dislikes the debt ceiling notion, intervened with his own proposal: he wanted an unlimited increase in the debt ceiling for the next four years, or urged the elimination of the debt ceiling altogether—this binary ultimatum was novel. Let’s not forget that the Democrats still control the Senate, and Biden is still president. There are Democrats & Republicans who oppose Trump and his agenda and who don’t want to reduce spending on several pet projects. Washington is reluctant to let go of archaic notions—the debt ceiling idea was introduced in 1917! Maybe it served its purpose at some point in time. But now it’s a vehicle for limitless spending.[1]
- Henceforward, rather than have an omnibus bill that hides pork spending by both sides, it might be prudent to have bills for each key issue and separately vote on each one. And this is where Trump, Musk and Ramaswamy won. The original bill was 1,547 pages long with billions of dollars in hidden pork spending. Trump asked Musk and Ramaswamy to examine the bill. They went to work and, in a day, cut the number of pages down to 118! And with that they eliminated a lot of the hidden spending.
- Instead of standing together as one against the Democrats, the House Republicans, it appears, are no better than the Dems. Musk and Ramaswamy, who will be heading the Department of Government Efficiency, have their hands full. Musk called out Democrat Congressman Hakeem Jeffries on the proposed pork-fest spending bill. Musk said, “You seem to think the public is dumb. They are not.”
- Unfortunately, the swamp comprises Democrats and Republicans.
- Although Republicans, generally, are not as corrupt and anti-Constitution as the modern-day Democrats, on weeks like this one, it appears America is a one-party system with the extravagances of two—a constant tussle between Tweedledum & Tweedledee. Hence, T&T’s image encapsulates this week’s main story.
Trump Takes
- Georgia’s Appellate Court disqualified DA Fani Williams and her team from Trump’s 2020 election interference case.[2] The court ruled that Williams’ team “has no authority to move forward.” Slowly, but surely, justice is finally prevailing. Every false accusation and lawfare against Trump are being dismissed by higher courts. Fani Williams epitomizes the corruption standards set by that icon of corruption, Hussein Obama. It began when Obama’s SCOTUS choice Merrick Garland was not confirmed in 2016.[3] Hussein Obama (aka Joe Biden) went on to appoint Garland to head the DOJ. And that’s when the phony charges against Trump and his allies began to unfold at warp speed.
- The infamous January 6th event at the Capitol is coming under new scrutiny. There’s growing evidence that Biden’s corrupt DOJ had multiple undercover officers from different agencies, not just the FBI, that were likely there to incite the crowd[4]. The day he assumes office, Trump should pardon the so-called “rioters” who were wrongly arrested!
Other Takes
- The Biden administration is selling off unused border wall steel barriers at rock-bottom prices; this is in violation of a May 2024 federal court ruling—it’s hard to fathom how this administration, even as it’s dying, is bent on violating the law and on hurting Americans who voted for secure borders. This spiteful action is to stymie Trump’s agenda of stopping illegal immigration.[5]
- The brazen violation of laws by the Biden-Harris administration continues. They added another $4.28b in student loan handouts, having already earmarked $180b for the same purpose. This is in direct violation of the SCOTUS June 2023 ruling! By a 6-3 vote, the SCOTUS ruled that the loan forgiveness program was unconstitutional.[6]
- To ensure his legacy of being the worst president in U.S. history is never usurped, Biden is now planning to send a few hundred illegal migrants to Italy and Greece. Biden-Harris created the immigration mess. And now, a partial solution to their problem is to burden our allies.[7] What a disgrace!
